The successful candidate will be responsible for the physical aspects of warehouse upkeep, loading and unloading food items, maintaining equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and conducting vehicle inspections. Additionally, the role demands adherence to administrative guidelines and active collaboration with supervisors, including the USDA/Warehouse Manager and Executive Director.

As part of this role, the candidate must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and the ability to drive a box truck or larger vehicle safely. Warehouse experience is highly desired, with familiarity in food handling, record-keeping, and inventory management being advantageous. Physical stamina is essential, as the job involves lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods in a dynamic environment. Forklift certification, or the willingness to obtain certification within 90 days, is required. Proficiency in basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Access, adds value to supporting administrative and data collection tasks. The ideal employee has strong organizational skills, communicates clearly, and can follow directives precisely, ensuring smooth warehouse and distribution operations.
