Job Description

SSP America is a leading operator in the airport food and beverage industry, known for its diverse portfolio of restaurants that offer high-quality dining experiences to travelers and airport personnel. Within the Colorado Springs Airport, SSP America's restaurant portfolio includes popular establishments such as Mountain Vista, Red Rocks, Pikes Perk Post, and Bristol. These venues provide a variety of culinary options that cater to the diverse tastes of airport guests, emphasizing convenience, quality, and customer satisfaction. The company's commitment to excellence extends beyond its food services to include efficient operational support roles that are vital to maintaining smooth day-to-day activities at the airport.

The Warehouse Driver role at SSP America is a critical position responsible for supporting the logistics and supply chain functions that keep the restaurants well-stocked and ready to serve customers. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.00 and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires open availability to accommodate the dynamic scheduling needs of the airport environment.

As a Warehouse Driver, the incumbent will primarily assemble, deliver, load, and unload products to various points within the Colorado Springs Airport. The job duties include maintaining the setup and cleanliness of the back door/receiving and storage areas, managing refrigerated and dry goods with attention to safety and organization, and ensuring all items requisitioned for delivery are accurately loaded onto vehicles. A key part of the role is conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations, as well as following all security protocols specific to the airport setting, including managing airport badges and delivery paperwork.

Adherence to traffic laws and safety standards both on airport grounds and public roads is mandatory, reflecting the high safety standards of SSP America. After deliveries, the driver is responsible for handling used and dirty equipment by loading and returning it to the commissary, maintaining cleanliness standards within the vehicle, and respecting no-smoking policies.

The position also involves completing necessary checklists throughout shifts, performing cleaning duties, organizing work areas, and ensuring readiness for subsequent shifts by coordinating with management. This role is ideal for candidates who have experience driving routes with multiple stops and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment like an airport.

SSP America values a respectful and inclusive workplace culture, offering employees benefits such as free parking, employee discounted meals, 401K with a company match, and medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. The company also supports employees and their dependents with comprehensive medical plan options and voluntary coverage plans. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a stable and nationally recognized organization dedicated to quality service and operational excellence in the airport hospitality industry.
