Job Description
Uline is a prominent family-owned company recognized as North America's leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials. With over 9,800 employees spread across 14 strategic locations, Uline is dedicated to maintaining industry leadership by providing exceptional products and services. The company's commitment to excellence extends beyond its offerings, encompassing a focus on creating clean, safe, and well-organized workplace environments which reflect its core values and dedication to quality. Uline's Reno branch, located at 8800 Military Road, Reno, NV 89506, is no exception — it boasts best-in-class warehouse facilities that are immaculate, bright, and highly organized. This creates an optimal setting where operational efficiency and employee satisfaction thrive.
The role of Warehouse Custodian/Janitor at Uline's Reno branch is vital in ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of these top-tier facilities, contributing directly to the smooth operation of the warehouse and the safety of all personnel. Offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $25—with significant growth and earning potential—this position operates Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, strategically timed to support daily warehouse activities.
The custodian responsibilities encompass a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting racks, and maintaining both the interior and exterior of the building. The role also requires operating equipment such as floor scrubbers and compactors to efficiently manage trash and packaging waste. Beyond routine cleaning, the warehouse custodian at Uline is expected to assist with special projects and perform general labor tasks as necessary to support overall warehouse operations.
This role requires someone who cares deeply about cleanliness and is obsessed with organization, reflecting the company's culture and standards. The high-level attention to detail needed ensures the facility remains spotless, safe, and orderly at all times. Uline fosters a drug-free environment, with pre-employment hair follicle drug testing as a condition of hire, ensuring safety and compliance in this sensitive position.
Beyond the rewarding work environment, Uline offers extensive benefits that strengthen employee well-being and professional growth. These include comprehensive health insurance coverage starting on the first day, a 401(k) plan with a generous 6% company match, multiple bonus programs, paid holidays, and generous paid time off. Additionally, Uline supports career advancement through a Tuition Assistance Program that funds professional continuing education.
Working at Uline means being part of a team committed to excellence in every aspect from cleanliness to customer service. The Reno branch employees enjoy best-in-class, modern facilities complemented by first-class amenities such as a fitness center and a beautifully maintained walking path, emphasizing the company’s commitment to a healthy work-life balance. If you have a passion for maintaining a pristine environment and want to be part of a leading company dedicated to its people and customers alike, this custodian position at Uline offers a promising opportunity to build a rewarding career.
