The Warehouse Coordinator role at Stock Yards is an essential position that supports the inbound, outbound, and general warehouse operations. This position requires a blend of clerical and warehouse duties, designed to maintain smooth logistical flows and accurate record keeping. Reporting duties include preparing and processing routine forms and reports such as inbound and outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, and shipping labels. The Warehouse Coordinator also communicates regularly with internal staff and external customers, responding to inquiries and supporting problem resolution related to warehouse operations.
Working the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, this role demands attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with eligibility for overtime compensation and shift differential. This position requires physical ability to work in warehouse environments, including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures can be as low as -5 degrees Fahrenheit. The role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying of varying weights, alongside occasional desk duties.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent
- two years production, manufacturing or warehouse experience preferably in a food environment
- minimum of one year clerical experience
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- excellent telephone and customer service skills
- strong math, analytical, and organizational abilities with attention to detail
- basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
- strong teamwork orientation
- ability to work in cooler/freezer environments
- physical ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, reach, twist, grasp, manipulate objects frequently
- manual dexterity to type and use office machines continuously
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent
- two years production, manufacturing or warehouse experience, preferably in a food environment
- minimum of one year clerical experience

- basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

- ability to resolve a variety of issues and topics of fairly routine nature with some independence
Job Duties
- Support training and developing junior teammates
- ensure optimal warehouse operations by preparing and processing routine forms, reports, and documents including inbound documents, outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, and shipping labels
- communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs, respond to inquiries and telephone calls, and research information
- collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support warehouse performance tracking including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, and associate overtime
- support outbound warehouse functions by checking returns and credit slips, assembling returned orders for proper return to picking slot, investigating picking errors, and finding missing products
- interact with warehouse personnel to solve selecting and shipping issues
- complete outbound paperwork and reports including documents for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, and trucks received at night, and update the master storage report
- perform other duties as assigned by manager
