Job Description
Staples is a leading office supply company known for its commitment to delivering essential products and services to customers across a variety of industries and sectors. With a strong presence in both retail and supply chain operations, Staples has built a reputation for innovation, efficiency, and inclusion. The company’s supply chain team plays a crucial role in ensuring that products are handled, processed, and delivered accurately and on time. Staples fosters an inclusive work environment where diversity is valued, and associates are supported to reach their fullest potential. Staples offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment with competitive pay and various benefits designed to promote employee wellness and growth.
The Warehouse Associate role on the Staples World Class Supply Chain Team is vital to maintaining the flow of goods within the warehouse and ultimately to the customers. This position involves operating various material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks to move products weighing up to 100 pounds in a safe and efficient manner. Warehouse associates may be assigned to any one of several key areas within the warehouse, including bulk material handling, replenishment, receiving and putaway, returns processing, shipping, or general maintenance and cleaning. In each area, safety is the top priority alongside productivity and teamwork.
In addition to equipment operation, warehouse associates are responsible for general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organized work environment. The role requires good communication skills, the ability to adapt quickly to changing roles and responsibilities, and a strong commitment to the company’s safety culture. Associates have the opportunity to earn additional compensation through a pay-for-performance program, rewarding those who meet or exceed productivity standards.
Staples provides an inclusive workplace culture supported by associate-led Business Resource Groups and offers various full-time benefits including paid time off, holiday schedules, company discounts, and wellness programs. Newly hired warehouse associates receive a competitive base pay rate with a differential for evening shifts, plus work shoes after 60 days of employment. This position is designed for individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment, work collaboratively with colleagues, and demonstrate reliability and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Overall, this role is ideal for candidates seeking a dynamic and rewarding position within a respected company dedicated to operational excellence and employee development.
