Job Description

Staples is a leading office supply company committed to delivering essential products and services to customers across various industries. With a robust supply chain operation, Staples ensures timely and efficient delivery of products that help businesses and individuals stay productive and organized. Established as a trusted retailer and supplier, Staples combines innovation with a customer-centric approach to maintain its position as an industry leader. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive culture that values diversity, safety, and continuous improvement among its workforce.

Join the Staples World Class Supply Chain Team as a Warehouse Associate, working Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm. This role emphasizes pay for performance, offering associates the opportunity to earn additional compensation when they meet or exceed productivity thresholds. As a warehouse associate, you will contribute directly to the success of Staples' supply chain by ensuring fast, safe, and accurate handling of products that ultimately reach customers. This position involves working in various warehouse functions, each vital to the overall operation, including Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator, Porter, Replenishment, Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Returns, and Shipping. You will have the opportunity to learn and operate multiple types of material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks, while also adhering to strict safety procedures.

The warehouse environment at Staples requires flexibility, physical endurance, and a commitment to safety. Associates in this role will be expected to lift, push, or pull merchandise weighing between 70 and 100 pounds, occasionally working at heights up to 60 feet. Safety is a top priority, and associates must wear safety composite shoes and maintain clean work areas to prevent accidents. The role is dynamic, combining manual handling, equipment operation, and communication with colleagues to confirm product accuracy and resolve discrepancies. You may be assigned to any of the warehouse areas or other roles within the Supply Chain Level 1 (SC1) or Supply Chain Level 2 (SC2) teams as business needs evolve.

This full-time position also demands good verbal and written English communication skills, the ability to work additional overtime hours when necessary, and a willingness to operate in varying temperature conditions typical of warehouse settings. Staples supports its associates by providing a competitive pay rate of $23.50 per hour, which includes a $1.25 shift differential, as well as comprehensive benefits such as paid time off, holiday pay, 401(k) company match, work shoes, wellness programs, and participation in associate-led Business Resource Groups. Staples’ inclusive and supportive environment is designed to empower employees to thrive and grow within the company.

As an essential member of the supply chain, your role impacts Staples’ capacity to deliver on its commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. By upholding safety standards and demonstrating reliability and teamwork, you will help maintain the high standards expected from Staples’ warehouse operations. Whether you are operating material handling equipment, organizing and shrinking wrapping orders, or managing returns and replenishment, your contribution is critical to the seamless flow of goods through the warehouse to the customer’s door. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced, physically active work environment and who take pride in being part of a well-organized, safety-first supply chain team.
