Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- minimum of one year experience driving small commercial trucks
- ability to read, speak, write, and understand basic English
- pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and DOT physical
- good driving record meeting insurance standards
- ability to adhere to and enforce safety procedures
- flexibility to work overtime and weekends
- capable of operating large box trucks in urban areas
- able to work in different traffic and weather conditions
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and push up to 300 pounds
- willingness to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- one year of driving small commercial trucks or equivalent experience
- ability to read, analyze, and interpret maps and GPS technology
- ability to complete paperwork accurately with attention to detail
- excellent verbal communication skills
- strong reasoning ability to interpret instructions in various formats
- pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and DOT physical
- good driving record meeting Planet Aid's insurability standards
- knowledge of safety procedures and ability to enforce them
- flexibility to work overtime and weekends
- capable of operating large box trucks in metropolitan areas
- ability to work in various weather and traffic conditions
- positive attitude and ability to follow directions
Job Duties
- Unload trucks
- weigh up carts, cages, or cap sack stands
- organize weighed carts in the designated area
- sort and organize all miscellaneous items
- maintain a clean working area environment including emptying garbage cans, clearing broken glass or debris, and sweeping daily
- demonstrate safe and efficient driving skills
- comply with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines
- provide good customer service and communicate verbally with customers professionally
- service the donation bins designated on a route daily
- empty the donation bin, clean, and collect rubbish disposed of in and around the bins
- communicate with management any problem or safety concern
- perform associated and related job functions not specifically identified in this job description
