The role of Warehouse Associate/Backup Delivery Driver (CDL B) based in Cedar Rapids, IA, plays a vital function within the retail shop setting of Airgas. This position requires candidates who are versatile and safety-focused, tasked with managing warehouse logistics alongside delivery duties as a backup driver. The employment type is full-time, scheduled on a Monday through Friday first shift. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • must have a valid Class B or better CDL license
  • must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 90 days of being hired
  • successful completion of Airgas background and motor vehicle check
  • DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required
  • ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs, and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs with the use of equipment
  • willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures
  • ability to maintain a drug-free workplace
  • adherence to safety regulations and policies

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • stock, label, pick, pack, and distribute materials and supplies
  • physically receive, check, and store delivered materials in the warehouse
  • conduct regular inventory checks
  • enforce policies for proper receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
  • review invoices
  • organize and control inventoried items
  • assist with inventory management, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations
  • perform back-up duties as per the branch daily checklist
  • assist customers with merchandise
  • load and unload cylinders as needed
