The Warehouse Production Lead role at Forward Air is a pivotal position within the B2B and Transfer packing departments, ensuring that all packing processes meet stringent quality standards and client expectations. The lead will offer day-to-day floor direction, assist staffing coordination efforts, and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the department. This position acts as an essential support to the Supervisor/Manager by distributing assignments and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which are critical for maintaining operational efficiency. While this role does not encompass personnel management responsibilities such as scheduling or performance evaluation, it plays a vital role in fostering a positive and productive workplace culture, emphasizing safety, productivity, accuracy, and facility upkeep. A Warehouse Production Lead must effectively communicate with team members, motivate staff, support safety initiatives, monitor overtime and workforce utilization, and ensure proper availability and use of equipment and tools. Additionally, this role includes training support for new hires, identifying performance trends, and providing feedback for continuous process improvement. The schedule includes shifts Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 1:45 PM and Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM, offering competitive compensation ranging from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
