Job Description

W.W. Grainger, Inc., is a leading broad line distributor with operations primarily in North America, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Known for serving more than 4.5 million customers worldwide, Grainger provides products and solutions through innovative technology and deep customer relationships. The company recorded a revenue of $17.2 billion in 2024, delivered through two distinct business models: the High-Touch Solutions segment, which offers approximately 2 million maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) products and services including technical support and inventory management, and the Endless Assortment segment, featuring platforms like Zoro.com offering over 14 million products and MonotaRO.com with over 24 million products. Grainger is recognized for its commitment to service excellence and an award-winning culture, reflecting its dedication to both employees and customers alike.

This position is an onsite Warehouse Associate role at the state-of-the-art 1.3 million sq. ft. distribution center located at 400 Bordentown Hedding Rd, Bordentown, NJ. The role is hourly with pay starting at $20 per hour, with potential raises within 12 months increasing pay up to $21.20 per hour. Additional pay incentives include $1 per hour for powered industrial equipment (PIE) operators and an extra $1 per hour for overnight shifts. The overnight shift runs Monday through Friday, starting at 8:00 pm, especially seeking powered equipment operators. Warehouse associates will report directly to a Distribution Center Supervisor or Process Manager and will interact regularly with other warehouse associates.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will safely complete inbound and outbound tasks such as unloading, sorting, labeling, and packing with a focus on quality and accuracy. You will help ensure that products are accurately packed and shipped to meet and exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities also include operating computerized scanning equipment, maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and hazardous material regulations, and meeting performance standards regarding safety, quality, productivity, attendance, behavior, and overtime when necessary. This role requires working on your feet with exposure to varied environments including heat, cold, noise, and dust, as well as the physical capability to handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds. For PIE operators, operating warehouse vehicles and powered industrial equipment such as Crown, Pacer, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Barrett, and Turret Truck is expected.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years of age, and have a willingness to receive feedback and work collaboratively as part of a team. Previous experience in warehousing, retail, or customer service in fast-paced environments is preferred along with strong attention to detail, quality, and safety practices.

Joining Grainger means becoming part of North America's leading B2B distributor of maintenance, repair, and operating supplies and related services. Grainger supports a diverse customer base across industries including commercial, government, healthcare, and manufacturing. The company culture prioritizes flexible schedules, benefits beginning on day one, weekends off for many shifts, and a supportive atmosphere where employees are encouraged to learn, grow, and celebrate successes. Grainger strives to do what is right, uphold safety, support communities, and ultimately keep the world working.
