Job Description
The hiring establishment is a distribution center specializing in the efficient delivery and warehouse management of materials, products, and equipment. Focused on providing outstanding service within a designated sales territory, this company emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. It operates a full-time position for a Warehouse Associate and Non CDL Delivery Driver with competitive pay ranging from $19 to $20 per hour, paid bi-weekly. The role combines responsibilities in both warehouse operations and delivery driving, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals who possess skills in material handling and safe driving practices.
As a Warehouse Associate and Non CDL Delivery Driver, you will be essential to the seamless distribution operations of the center. Your primary responsibilities will involve making daily deliveries using a box truck to customers within the sales territory, ensuring that all items are transported safely and on schedule. A key requirement is holding a valid driver’s license free of violations for seven years and the ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening, ensuring compliance with stringent safety regulations.
In addition to driving duties, this role involves traditional warehouse operations. Utilizing RF scanning technology, you will be responsible for the accurate stocking and picking of materials and equipment. This requires you to skillfully use various warehouse tools, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts, to move and stage orders effectively. Attention to detail is critical, as you will verify shipment accuracy by comparing package contents to accompanying manifests and invoices, helping to maintain inventory integrity.
Safety and maintenance are also vital in this position. You are expected to report any issues with delivery vehicles promptly and perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and organized working environment. Communication skills are important since you will regularly coordinate with supervisors and sales representatives to resolve shipping discrepancies such as damages or shortages.
The company values individuals with a clean driving history and encourages candidates comfortable with walking and standing for a significant part of the workday. The role also looks for applicants with strong math and reading capabilities to interpret shipping documents and follow delivery routes efficiently. Preferred qualifications include 2 to 3 years of box truck driving experience and familiarity with RF scanners and material handling processes.
This full-time position operates on a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, offering stable work hours with an 8-hour shift per day. Besides a supportive work environment, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plans with matching contributions, medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, life insurance, paid time off, and an employee assistance program.
The Warehouse Associate and Non CDL Delivery Driver role serves as a crucial component in maintaining the company’s promise of on-time delivery and efficient warehouse management. Working primarily in-person at one location, employees are expected to actively participate in the daily operational workflow while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. If you are a dependable individual with experience in warehouse operations and delivery driving, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the success of a well-established distribution center.
