Job Requirements
- Must be over the age of 21 to drive
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no DWI or DUI
- Must have a clean 7-year driving history with no DWI
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen
- Comfortable walking and standing for more than 80 percent of the work day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to drive a sit down forklift
Job Qualifications
- One year of driving experience
- One year of sit down forklift experience
- One year of warehouse experience
- Preferred two to three years of box truck driving experience
- Preferred one year of materials handling experience
- Preferred one year of RF scanner experience
- Ability to drive a sit down forklift
- Good knowledge of basic math and reading skills
- Active listening skills to contribute to effective communication
- Ability to read a map and follow directions to customer sites
- Must have a clean 7-year driving record with no DWI
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Makes deliveries daily to customers in the sales territory in an efficient manner, minimizing the time away from the warehouse while driving the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
- Reports any mechanical issues with the delivery vehicle to the supervisor immediately
- Delivers or routes materials to shipping or delivery area in the warehouse, using work devices, such as hand-trucks, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts
- Examines pallet loads and package contents in order to compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
- Confers and corresponds with supervisors or sales representatives to resolve problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications
- Stock material, equipment, and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
- Pull orders and stage material in shipping or delivery area in the warehouse, using work devices, such as hand-trucks, carts, pallet, jacks, and lift-trucks
