The Warehouse Associate position at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a vital role aimed at supporting the efficient and accurate handling of bakery products throughout the supply chain. This full-time role offers a starting pay of $18.56 per hour, reflecting the company's commitment to competitive compensation. The shift schedule includes working Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, and Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Responsibilities for the Warehouse Associate include accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route loads and trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard to ensure smooth operations. The role involves counting and checking products for accuracy and quality, maintaining detailed records, reporting any discrepancies such as overages or shortages, and participating in cycle counts to support inventory accuracy. Operators of this role are required to handle material handling equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts, and are tasked with troubleshooting issues that may arise with packing equipment, labeling machines, tapers, and palletizers. The Warehouse Associate plays an essential part in making sure that fresh bakery products reach consumers on time and in perfect condition, contributing significantly to the company’s reputation for quality and service.
This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift, push, pull, stack, and carry up to 50 pounds. Associates must be comfortable standing or stooping for prolonged periods in a warm working environment. Effective communication skills in English are required to ensure clear and efficient operations. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet business needs and schedules.
