Job Description

Health Aid of Ohio (HAO) is a reputable federal supplier and service provider specialized in home healthcare products, committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through the provision of mobility, home accessibility, and vehicle accessibility solutions. Established with a focus on supplying high-quality health care products, HAO offers a wide selection of equipment, including power and manual wheelchairs, walkers, bathroom safety equipment, ramps, vertical lifts, stair lifts, and vehicle lifts. As a dedicated organization in the home healthcare sector, Health Aid of Ohio prioritizes client safety and convenience by providing reliable products that support independent living and facilitate mobility for individuals with varying health needs.

The Warehouse Assistant role at Health Aid of Ohio is pivotal in maintaining the operational efficiency and orderliness of the warehouse, which serves as the hub for all inventory management and equipment readiness before delivery to clients. This position is responsible for ensuring that all medical and mobility equipment is properly segregated, accurately tagged, inventoried, bar-coded, function tested, cleaned, and stored in excellent working condition. A major part of the role involves verifying the cleanliness and operational status of equipment both on arrival at and before leaving the warehouse. Additionally, the Warehouse Assistant contributes to the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the organization's facility, ensuring a safe and organized environment.

As a Warehouse Assistant, an individual will engage in verifying that every piece of equipment leaving the warehouse is clean, operational, and correctly documented within the organization's systems such as TIMS rental or purchase inventory. This includes rigorous checking of delivery tickets, serial numbers, and equipment tags to ensure accuracy and accountability. The role requires the thorough cleaning of equipment using specified cleaning agents such as MadaCide and SteriFab, and recording all cleaning activities comprehensively on Health Aid tags.

Functionality testing of equipment is another critical duty to confirm that items meet operational standards. When equipment requires minor repairs, the Warehouse Assistant is expected to carry out these repairs and maintain accurate records of parts used. Equipment that cannot be repaired immediately is to be marked with red tags and stored appropriately for further action. Inventory management responsibilities include regularly reviewing par level inventory and communicating replenishment needs to the Asset Manager to maintain adequate stock levels.

This position is ideal for individuals with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Experience with warehouse equipment such as lift trucks and pallet jacks is preferred, with training provided if necessary. The Warehouse Assistant must also maintain up-to-date continuing education credits relevant to the role to stay aligned with industry standards and organizational practices.

Health Aid of Ohio is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment. The company offers a competitive wage and a wide range of benefits, demonstrating its commitment to employee well-being and professional growth. Joining HAO means becoming part of a mission-driven team that values quality, safety, and reliability in improving clients’ health and mobility needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the healthcare supply chain, ensuring that clients receive safe, functional, and well-maintained equipment essential for their daily activities and independence.
