Job Requirements

  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer
  • Experience in food preparation including washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing
  • Proficiency in handling and using knives
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects like pots and pans
  • Must adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Certification as a food handler preferred
  • Proven experience as a line cook or sushi line in a similar culinary role
  • Knowledge of sushi techniques and authentic Japanese cuisine preferred
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to withstand standing long hours and heat
  • Relevant certifications such as sushi chef certificate or culinary degree are a plus
  • Valid California Driver License
