The role of Waitstaff at Walker Methodist Place is integral to maintaining the high standards of service that residents and their families expect. This part-time position involves working in the community's restaurant-style dining room, where employees are responsible for setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up afterward. The shifts are designed to accommodate a range of schedules, including a morning shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm and an evening shift from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Essential to the role are flexibility and reliability, as staff are expected to work every other weekend, holidays, and occasionally participate in weekend brunch events. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a warm, respectful demeanor to ensure that each dining experience is not just a meal but a valued social interaction for the residents. Job Requirements
- Ability to work part-time hours including every other weekend and holidays
- Experience in a restaurant or dining service environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow health and safety standards
