The Community at Rockhill is currently seeking dedicated Part-Time Waitstaff to join their dynamic dining team. This role is instrumental in delivering impeccable table service to residents and guests, embodying the community's values of respect, attentiveness, and hospitality. The position offers shifts either from 6:30am to 2pm every other weekend or from 11am to 2pm, providing a flexible part-time work schedule suitable for individuals seeking balance between work and personal commitments. The position is classified as non-exempt with a competitive hourly wage of $14, reflecting the community’s commitment to valuing its employees.

In this role, you will be responsible for greeting residents warmly, taking accurate food orders, serving meals courteously, clearing plates efficiently, and ensuring the dining area remains clean and welcoming. Beyond these primary duties, the waitstaff will participate in food preparation assistance and adhere strictly to all food handling and infection control protocols, including HACCP standards. The role demands a proactive approach in maintaining the overall dining experience, requiring teamwork, adherence to dress code, and participation in scheduled meetings and training sessions. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 14 years of age

  • ability to assist in resident evacuation during emergencies

Job Duties

  • Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills
  • greet residents warmly and take their food order
  • deliver food ordered by resident and guests to the table, and demonstrate a courteous and considerate manner to all guests
  • clear prior course dishes before serving next course
  • clear tables at the end of the meal and pre-set table for the next meal service
  • perform cleaning responsibilities as assigned and ensure that the dining room is maintained in a sanitary and orderly manner
  • attend scheduled meetings and in-services
