Job Description

The Bristal is a distinguished luxury assisted living community renowned for offering an exceptional lifestyle combined with compassionate care. What distinctly sets The Bristal apart is its commitment to excellence in every aspect of the resident experience, particularly through its chef-prepared cuisine and country club style dining served three times daily. This focus on high-quality dining is integral to the welcoming, home-like environment the community strives to maintain for its residents. By seamlessly blending upscale dining with a warm, caring atmosphere, The Bristal ensures that residents enjoy not only comfort and care but also an enriching social setting that enhances their quality of life.

As part of this vibrant community, the role of Waitstaff is crucial. The Bristal is currently seeking friendly, professional, and above all compassionate individuals to join their Waitstaff team. In this role, the successful candidate will help create an exceptional dining experience that mirrors the satisfaction one expects at an upscale restaurant. This involves delivering kind, patient, and cheerful service every day, reinforcing the community’s commitment to offering residents the highest level of care and enjoyment. Waitstaff members are responsible for ensuring that all meals are served and presented according to the high standards established by the Director of Food Service, thereby contributing significantly to the residents' overall wellbeing and quality of life.

The Waitstaff role is not only about serving food; it’s about providing a holistic experience that includes attentive interaction, respect, and personalized service tailored to the unique needs of each resident. Duties include patiently taking meal orders, ensuring cleanliness and proper table settings, assisting with plating and portion control, and bussing tables after meals. The role calls for individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor, reflecting the community’s values of respect and care for its senior population.

Ideal candidates will possess previous experience in restaurant or food service environments, especially those who demonstrate an ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and satisfy a diverse and sometimes demanding clientele. Experience working with seniors is preferred but not mandatory. More importantly, candidates must demonstrate reliability, empathy, professionalism, and a genuine spirit of teamwork. A familiarity with food safety and health regulations is an asset, as is the ability to adapt to different personality types and situations positively. The Bristal values employees who act with gentleness, patience, and respect for the elderly, always maintaining composure and kindness.

This opportunity at The Bristal offers the chance to join a supportive team within a well-established, respected community that prioritizes dignity, respect, and a high standard of living for its residents. A career as Waitstaff at The Bristal means being part of a mission-driven environment that appreciates the profound impact of great service on the quality of life for seniors. If you are a compassionate individual who thrives in an engaging and meaningful role, you will find this position rewarding both personally and professionally.
