The role of Banquet Server at Kinseth Hotel Corporation is an integral position within the banquet and catering team. This role involves setting up banquet and break function tables according to established property standards, organizing and pre-setting non-entree items such as coffee, bread, and condiments, and serving meals and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner. The Banquet Server contributes directly to guest satisfaction by ensuring that each event runs smoothly and that guests receive attentive and friendly service.
Beyond serving guests, responsibilities include garnishing and decorating dishes, observing diners to respond promptly to additional guest requests, and clearing and resetting tables efficiently between courses and events. Working in this position involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, and handling of banquet supplies, making physical fitness and attention to detail important qualities.

Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must follow all KHC policies and procedures including dress code and safety standards
- Must maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled
- Ability to handle physical demands including stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and twisting
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in banquet or food service is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
Job Duties
- Sets up banquet function tables and break tables with required items according to property standards
- Prepares, organizes and pre-sets all non-entree items to be used during the banquet including coffee, bread, butter, condiments etc
- Serves food and beverage to banquet and/or meeting break guests in a friendly and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction
- Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
- Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
- Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, completes side work and performs other services as required
- Clears, resets tables and properly stores banquet items at conclusion of each course/banquet
