Job Description

The company is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the position of Banquet Server. This role is essential in delivering a seamless banquet experience for guests attending events at KHC hotels and restaurants. As a Banquet Server, the individual will be responsible for setting up banquet and break tables, ensuring they meet property standards, and providing friendly, professional service throughout the event. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a guest-focused mindset to ensure every banquet function runs smoothly and guests enjoy their meals.

The Banquet Server role involves preparing and organizing all non-entree items such as coffee, bread, butter, and condiments before and during banquet services. Serving food and beverages with a professional demeanor ensures guest satisfaction, while garnishing and decorating dishes adds an extra touch of hospitality. Observing guests during meals to respond promptly to additional requests and ensuring tables are promptly cleared and reset are critical duties that contribute to the overall success of banquet events. The position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand, walk, lift and carry items regularly, and perform multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food service or banquet setting preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • willingness to follow all company policies and standards
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Sets up banquet function tables and break tables with required items according to property standards
  • prepares, organizes and pre-sets all non-entree items to be used during the banquet including coffee, bread, butter, condiments etc
  • serves food and beverage to banquet and/or meeting break guests in a friendly and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction
  • garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
  • observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
  • ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, completes side work and performs other services as required
  • clears, resets tables and properly stores banquet items at conclusion of each course/banquet
