Job Description

Generations is a family-first, family-owned, and family-operated business that has been serving senior living communities across California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington since 1943. With a deep commitment to enhancing the vitality and joy of both residents and staff, Generations has cultivated a unique work environment that values the diverse skills and gifts each team member contributes. As a company dedicated to providing exceptional senior care, Generations strives to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that feels like home for residents and employees alike. The organizational culture is built on the Mission, Vision, and Values that emphasize compassion, respect, and a strong sense of community, making it a nurturing and inspiring place to grow a career in senior services.

The Windsor is one of the senior living communities operated by Generations, where the role of Waitstaff is fundamental in delivering an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests. As a Waitstaff member, the individual is responsible for ensuring that the dining environment is welcoming, clean, and comfortable while providing prompt and courteous meal service. This position requires adherence to federal, state, and local standards for community operation, ensuring safety and compliance at all times. Waitstaff members are integral to making dining pleasant and accessible, helping to foster a sense of belonging and enjoyment during mealtimes.

The position is part-time, with shifts scheduled from Wednesday through Sunday, between 3:45 pm and 7:00 pm, and holiday availability is preferred. This role does not require previous experience, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors and looking to join a supportive and family-oriented work environment. The Windsor offers comprehensive on-the-job training and encourages growth opportunities within the company, making it an ideal place for those beginning their careers or seeking a fulfilling role in senior care.

Working at The Windsor means becoming part of the broader Generations family, where employees and residents alike receive thoughtful and professional care. The company offers competitive benefits such as paid time off for both full-time and part-time employees, medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time staff, 401(k) employer match, employee engagement programs, and a safe work environment. These benefits reflect Generations' dedication to supporting its team's wellbeing and professional advancement.

This role is perfect for individuals who possess a current Food Handler's Permit and certification in CPR and First Aid, as these qualifications ensure the health and safety of residents during meal service. Additionally, a high school diploma or GED is desired, and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently is essential for communication and compliance purposes.

Generations is an equal opportunity employer, committed to inclusivity and diversity. They welcome all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
