The club is currently seeking dedicated and customer-focused Servers to join their team, with both part-time and full-time opportunities available. These roles report directly to the Dining Services Manager or Clubhouse Manager and play a vital part in creating a memorable dining experience for members and their guests. Servers at Hollytree Country Club are tasked with providing attentive, courteous, and professional food and beverage service in a clubhouse setting that emphasizes quality and member satisfaction.
In this role, servers are responsible for greeting members and guests warmly, presenting menus, describing daily specials, taking accurate orders, and serving meals and beverages efficiently. The position demands knowledge of the menu, buffet options, wine list, and the ability to recommend pairings that enhance the dining experience. Servers must also demonstrate a strong awareness of member preferences, establishing rapport and personalized service to ensure repeat patronage and satisfaction.
Attention to detail is paramount, as servers handle billing and account transactions accurately according to club policies. They are also involved in setting up side stations, preparing for service, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. The role requires a capacity to handle emergency situations as outlined by club procedures while consistently adhering to local and state regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
This position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, navigate various movements such as climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Servers are expected to maintain a professional demeanor, work collaboratively with team members, and contribute positively to the club’s culture of excellence. Job Requirements
- Grade 12 education
- Two years of comparable wait service experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and execute basic math skills
- Texas Food Handler certification
- TABC certification
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
- Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform continuous repetitive motions
Job Qualifications
- Grade 12 education

Job Duties
- Set up side station and perform assigned side prep work
- Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
- Distribute food and wine menus and answer questions
- Fill glasses with ice water and suggest menu items
- Ensure correct account numbers and names are given for billing
- Efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, offer suggestions on daily specials and wine selections
- Place orders with kitchen and inform cooks about special cooking instructions
- Assemble food on tray and procure items from each station as necessary
- Serve meals and place dishes by courses in front of each person
- Check back to ensure member and guest satisfaction
- Replenish water and butter as necessary
- Remove soiled dishes and clear tables after each course
- Reset tables with appropriate silverware
- Present dessert menus, suggest and serve dessert, coffee and after-dinner drinks
- Verify accuracy of prices, taxes, tips and other charges on all checks
- Present the bill
- Handle all charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- Keep dining room and bus station areas clean
- Clear, clean and reset tables that have been vacated
- Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
- Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by Dining Room Captain, Dining Room Supervisor, Dining Room Manager, or Outlet Manager
- Thank members and guests and invite them to return
- Consistently follow local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests
- Perform other appropriate duties assigned by Dining Room Manager or Outlet Manager
