Job Description
Baywood Court is a proud not-for-profit senior living community located in Castro Valley, dedicated to providing high-quality care and supportive living for seniors. We are deeply committed to helping seniors live with health, happiness, and dignity during their most vulnerable times. Our community is modern, very active, and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring constant care and a nurturing environment for all residents. Baywood Court offers a variety of programs and services tailored to enhance the quality of life for our seniors, fostering independence and community engagement in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
We are currently seeking compassionate and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Casual/On-Call (Part-time) Waitstaff. This position is an excellent opportunity for those who want to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors by providing exceptional dining service within our community. The role primarily involves supporting the dining needs of our residents through order taking, food preparation assistance, table and buffet setting, serving, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Flexibility is essential as this is a part-time position requiring availability on weekends and holidays. We value team players who are eager to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, community-focused setting.
The starting wage for part-time waitstaff is $17.50 per hour. Employees benefit from a supportive workplace that offers comprehensive advantages including up to four weeks of paid time off in the first year, medical and dental insurance, vision care, employer-paid life insurance, and retirement savings plans with employer matches. Additional perks include pet insurance and care discounts, affordable employee meals, annual scholarships for continuing education, and various employee engagement events such as cookouts, theme days, and recognition celebrations.
Baywood Court is vigilant about providing a safe workplace and requires all applicants to complete a background check, drug screening, physical examination, and tuberculosis skin test. The background check includes review of minor misdemeanors and DUIs. We are an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and considers applicants based on their abilities and qualifications. Our community encourages applications from individuals dedicated to serving seniors with kindness and respect and who meet the physical demands of the role, which include standing or walking for the full workday, lifting and maneuvering bus carts, and performing routine bending and reaching tasks.
If you are looking for a meaningful role in senior care where you can contribute to a supportive community, Baywood Court offers a collaborative and fulfilling work environment.
