The role of Club House Wait Staff at The Cedars of Chapel Hill is crucial in maintaining the community's standard of excellence in hospitality and dining services. This position involves serving meals in a variety of dining settings including casual, formal, bar, and private dining rooms, ensuring that every meal is delivered with meticulous attention to detail and customer preferences. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays
  • proficiency in basic computer skills
  • customer-oriented attitude

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in wait staff or food service preferred
  • knowledge of fine dining service techniques
  • ability to use computer systems for order entry and payment processing

Job Duties

  • provide food and beverage items as required
  • serve meals in the dining rooms in compliance with member preferences and orders
  • monitor reception of meals and offer substitute food items for those not satisfactory
  • stock items in kitchen, dining rooms, wait stations, kitchen wait station, and break room as necessary
  • demonstrate the skills and techniques of fine dining service
  • run food independently
  • serve entire 3-4 table section independently with some assistance needed
  • use computer to enter orders, split checks, and charge members correctly
