Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room and take food and beverage orders following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations, and accommodate requests including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with kitchen and back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
  • exhibit strong communication skills and flexibility when interacting with guests and coworkers
  • collect tickets and perform proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment and ensure proper dining room setup before and after service
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality of any personal or medical information shared by guests
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • assist other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
