Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room and take food and beverage orders following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations, and accommodate requests including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
communicate directly with kitchen and back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
exhibit strong communication skills and flexibility when interacting with guests and coworkers
collect tickets and perform proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment and ensure proper dining room setup before and after service
maintain sensitivity and confidentiality of any personal or medical information shared by guests
promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
assist other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
