Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • assist guests with additional needs and requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • address complaints promptly and relay to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • assist other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
