Morrison Living is currently seeking part-time Waiter/Waitress team members for their Corewell Commons Farmington Hills location at 21450 Archwood Drive, Farmington Hills, MI 48336. This role is designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and culinary service within a senior living setting. The position involves working a part-time schedule from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with rotating weekends, making it ideal for candidates who require flexibility. As a Waiter or Waitress at Morrison Living, you will be integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences to senior residents. This role requires prior serving experience in a senior living environment, emphasizing sensitivity, patience, and a professional demeanor. Team members are responsible for promptly greeting guests, accurately taking and delivering food and beverage orders, and supporting a warm and welcoming dining atmosphere. The position also includes responsibilities such as maintaining strict sanitation standards, understanding menu items and their suitability for specialized diets or allergies, and collaborating effectively with kitchen and dining room staff.

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally
- maintains safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences
- demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
- communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others
- remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintains high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays information to supervisor
- ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operates various equipment including fire extinguishers and beverage machines
- works with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
