The role of Waiter/Waitress at Morrison Living is a part-time position based at Brookwood Point in Columbus, Ohio. The scheduled hours for this role are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, offering a balanced part-time opportunity. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be the frontline representative of Morrison Living's culinary team. Your responsibilities will include creating an inviting dining atmosphere by promptly greeting guests, efficiently taking food and beverage orders, and delivering items with professionalism and care. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior serving experience preferred
  • ability to work part-time schedule Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • reliable transportation to the Brookwood Point location
  • ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • willingness to comply with drug-free workplace policies
  • availability for ongoing employment
  • ability to follow proper cash handling and safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences
  • communicate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and special requests are met
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment in the dining area
  • promptly address complaints and relay information to supervisors
  • assist with dining room setup and cleanup
  • operate various equipment including coffee machines and beverage dispensers
  • work cooperatively with other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
