Job Requirements

  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • able to work part-time schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to remain flexible and patient
  • capable of handling cash and following cash-handling procedures
  • maintain confidentiality of guest information

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food and beverage service or hospitality industry preferred
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • familiarity with menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions
  • positive attitude and teamwork orientation

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests appropriately
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences
  • demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
  • communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders and special requests are accommodated
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up and cleaned following sanitation standards
  • operate restaurant equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
