Morrison Living is currently hiring for part-time Waiter/Waitress positions at the Wesley Bradley Park location in Puyallup, Washington. This role is ideal for individuals who have prior customer service experience and enjoy providing excellent hospitality in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a part-time schedule from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm, with the possibility of varying hours including weekends and holidays. Employees in this role will earn an hourly wage ranging from $17.14 to $20.00. As part of the team, you will work with an enthusiastic group of culinary and service professionals dedicated to delivering culinary excellence and making a positive impact on guests' experiences.

The core responsibilities of the Waiter/Waitress position focus on providing exceptional food and beverage service by promptly taking orders, delivering meals, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining visit. Job Requirements

Prior customer service experience preferred
able to work part-time schedule including weekends and holidays
ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to remain flexible and patient
capable of handling cash and following cash-handling procedures
maintain confidentiality of guest information

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in food and beverage service or hospitality industry preferred
knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
strong communication and customer service skills
ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
familiarity with menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests appropriately
accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences
demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders and special requests are accommodated
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain good interpersonal relationships
remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisor
ensure dining room is properly set up and cleaned following sanitation standards
operate restaurant equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
