Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate full understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and dietary needs including allergens
  • communicate effectively with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests accommodation
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and team members
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • set up the dining room properly before service periods and ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other department staff during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
