Job Requirements

  • Prior server experience required
  • Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Flexible availability including evenings
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to maintain high level of cleanliness and professionalism
  • Compliance with company policies and safety standards
  • Background check if applicable

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
  • Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure accuracy of orders and special requests
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and team members
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment and ensure proper dining room setup and sanitation
  • Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • Address guest complaints promptly and escalate to supervisors as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
