Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items, ingredients, specialized diets, and allergens
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special request accommodations
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- promptly address complaints and relay information to supervisors
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other departments for special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
