Job Requirements

  • Prior dietary aide experience required
  • ability to work part-time evening shifts including rotating weekends
  • ability to perform physical tasks required by the job
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to follow sanitation and safety standards
  • willingness to assist with special events and functions

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
  • accommodate reasonable guest requests and note preferences
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • operate equipment such as iced tea and soda machines, coffee machines, telephones, and fire extinguishers
  • maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding personal or medical guest information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisor as needed
  • setup and clean dining area before and after service periods
