Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
- accommodate reasonable guest requests and note preferences
- communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- operate equipment such as iced tea and soda machines, coffee machines, telephones, and fire extinguishers
- maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding personal or medical guest information
- promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisor as needed
- setup and clean dining area before and after service periods
