Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior customer service experience preferred
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
  • availability to work part-time hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
  • compliance with Morrison Living's drug-free workplace policy
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • basic math skills for cash handling

Job Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience preferred

  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

  • basic cash handling skills

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically with guests to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with kitchen and back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • collect tickets and handle cash transactions following proper procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room setup and cleanliness before and after service
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
