Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience as a waiter or waitress preferred
- ability to work a flexible part-time schedule including weekends
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- drug-free workplace compliance
- background screening if applicable
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a waiter or waitress preferred
- ability to communicate effectively and get along well with others
- knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and basic food safety standards
- ability to accommodate special dietary requests and allergens
- strong customer service skills
- patience and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests and preferences
- communicate effectively with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special request accommodations
- maintain a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- handle cash transactions securely and follow proper procedures
- promptly address guest complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
- set up and clean the dining area before and after service periods
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and others
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
