Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior serving experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work on-call schedule
  • willingness to follow health and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Prior serving experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to memorize and understand menu items and ingredients
  • knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to handle cash transactions responsibly

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • communicates directly with back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays relevant information to supervisor
  • ensures that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service period
  • operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • works with other departments during special events and functions
  • performs other duties as assigned
