Located at Lorien of Mount Airy, 713 Midway Avenue, Mount Airy, MD, Unidine is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join their team as Waiters and Waitresses. This opportunity includes both full-time and part-time roles with various AM and PM shifts, including weekends, offering flexibility to accommodate different schedules. The pay range for these positions is between $15.50 and $16.50 per hour.

The role of a Waiter/Waitress at Unidine is vital to maintaining the high standards of the dining experience. Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correctly delivered and special requests accommodated
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service
  • operate a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
