The current opening is for Waiter/Waitress positions at the Holy Cross Village at Notre Dame-Schubert located in Notre Dame, Indiana. These positions are available on both full-time and part-time schedules, with a variety of shift options ranging from early morning to evening hours. Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders efficiently, following established service steps
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on food and drink combinations
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
  • handle cash transactions and tickets following proper procedures
  • promote and maintain a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • address guest complaints promptly and relay important information to supervisors
  • ensure the dining room is set up properly before and after service periods
  • operate equipment such as tea/soda machines, coffee machines, and fire extinguishers
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
