Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two to four years of serving experience
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- effective communication skills
- ability to handle cash transactions
- willingness to adhere to safety protocols including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- availability to work full time
- ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations

- knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergen information
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to handle cash and complete transactions accurately
- flexibility to work varying days and hours
- understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences
- communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays information to supervisor
- ensures dining room is properly set up prior to and after service period
- operates a variety of equipment including coffee machines and fire extinguishers
- works with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
