Known for its commitment to socially and environmentally responsible sourcing, Bon Appetit leads the industry in sustainable practices such as using cage-free eggs and sustainable seafood. The company emphasizes cooking everything from scratch with fresh, local ingredients, underscoring its dedication to quality and health-conscious dining. Bon Appetit fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, encouraging growth, learning, and making a tangible difference through its service. The company offers a rewarding work environment with competitive wages, opportunities for advancement, and a comprehensive benefits package.
We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time Waiter/Waitress positions at our Camber location, situated at 460 Forbes Boulevard, South San Francisco, CA 94080. This role is integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences by efficiently taking and serving food and beverage orders in a professional and welcoming manner. Our schedule runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, offering most weekends off, which provides employees with a healthy work-life balance. The pay rate is fixed at $18.15 per hour, with additional incentives such as an internal employee referral bonus.
The ideal candidates will have prior hospitality and serving experience in a full-service restaurant setting and possess wine and cocktail knowledge to enhance guest interactions. The role necessitates a strong understanding of menu items, the ability to advise guests on food and drink pairings, and an accommodating approach to reasonable guest requests and preferences. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude when interacting with guests and fellow staff members.
Key responsibilities include greeting guests promptly and warmly, taking orders with accuracy and efficiency, serving food and beverages professionally and in a timely manner, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards, and ensuring the dining area is set up and maintained to high cleanliness standards. The Waiter/Waitress will also manage cash handling procedures appropriately and address any complaints or special requests with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Working at Bon Appetit also means being part of a team that supports and celebrates diversity of thought and experience, which drives the company’s ongoing success and innovation in the foodservice industry. The company values health and wellness and provides a variety of benefits for both full-time and part-time employees, demonstrating a commitment to its staff’s overall quality of life.
