Currently, Morrison Living is hiring immediately for part-time Waiter/Waitress positions at their Towne House location situated at 2209 Saint Joe Center Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825. This role plays a vital part in delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a welcoming dining environment. The position features a part-time schedule with variable hours and days, including some weekends, offering flexibility to accommodate various lifestyles. The waiter/waitress role is essential in providing outstanding customer experiences by promptly and warmly greeting guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, and delivering items with professionalism. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior food service experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Availability to work part-time hours including some weekends
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
  • Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are accurate
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and get along well with others
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • Address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service
  • Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Work with other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
