The Food and Beverage Server will greet guests warmly in the dining area, efficiently take and deliver orders while adhering to established service protocols, and assist guests with menu inquiries, including accommodating special dietary needs and allergen considerations. Further, this role involves effective coordination with kitchen and back-of-house staff to guarantee order accuracy and fulfill any special requests. Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • periodically follow up to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable guest requests and preferences
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote and maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues, relaying relevant information to supervisors
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods while meeting sanitation standards
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with other department staff during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
