Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow instructions and established service protocols
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic math skills for cash handling
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- periodically follow up to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable guest requests and preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience when interacting with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote and maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues, relaying relevant information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods while meeting sanitation standards
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other department staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
