Job Requirements

- willingness to work part-time with flexible shifts
- ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

- availability to work scheduled shifts at Cantata Life Service location
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- customer service experience is an asset but not required
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- basic math skills for cash handling
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices is a plus
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- willingness to learn and complete training promptly
- positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct delivery of orders and special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relations with guests and staff
- remain flexible and patient when handling communications
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- keep area clean and neat while meeting sanitation standards
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
