Job Requirements
- Previous five years of serving experience required
- Ability to work a full time schedule with varying days and hours
- Must be able to operate food service equipment safely
- Must follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
- Willingness to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle personal information sensitively
Job Qualifications
- Previous five years of serving experience
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to accommodate special dietary requests
- Flexible and patient demeanor
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Takes food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- Delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- Advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
- Accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences
- Demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
- Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
- Exhibits exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others
- Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
- Collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- Promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays relevant information or complaints to supervisor
- Ensures the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods
- Operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- Works with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- Performs other duties as assigned
