This well-established company specializes in providing culinary and dining services tailored to the unique needs of seniors, enhancing their quality of life through memorable gastronomic moments and compassionate service.
At Sequoia Living Viamonte in Walnut Creek, California, Morrison Living is actively seeking a dedicated part-time Waiter or Waitress to join their hospitality team. This position is located at 2801 Shadelands Drive and is designed for individuals who appreciate working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in serving, preferably within a senior living setting, to help ensure that residents receive attentive and personalized dining services that cater to their specific dietary preferences and nutritional requirements.
The role offers a part-time schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking flexible work hours alongside other commitments. The pay range for this position is competitive, offering between $20.00 and $22.00 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to valuing its employees. In addition to a fun work environment, Morrison Living provides a robust benefits package that includes programs focused on health, wellness, and financial security, affirming its commitment to employee satisfaction and career growth.
As a Waiter/Waitress with Morrison Living, you will be the face of hospitality to dining guests, tasked with taking food and beverage orders efficiently and ensuring timely delivery within the dining room. Your role is pivotal in contributing to a positive dining atmosphere, demonstrating menu knowledge, and accommodating guests’ preferences and special dietary needs. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional yet warm demeanor at all times. You will work closely with both front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house teams to guarantee seamless service and superior guest satisfaction.
This position also includes operational responsibilities such as handling cash transactions, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, setting up the dining area before service, and assisting during special events. The company values sensitivity and confidentiality, especially when handling personal or medical information of residents, ensuring a respectful and safe environment. The role offers the chance to develop professionally within one of the hospitality industry's leading organizations while making a meaningful impact in the lives of the elderly community members you serve.
Morrison Living strives to foster a positive workplace culture with an emphasis on teamwork, inclusivity, and fairness. As an equal opportunity employer, they encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds and are committed to providing accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Joining this team means becoming part of a caring and dedicated community that prioritizes excellence not only in culinary service but also in the way they treat and support their team members.
