Job Requirements

  • Prior fine dining service experience preferred
  • open availability required
  • ability to work full time schedule
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to operate relevant dining equipment
  • compliance with background screening as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior fine dining service experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • customer service oriented
  • ability to handle cash transactions responsibly
  • flexibility to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods keeping area clean and meeting sanitation standards
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other department staff during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
