Job Requirements

  • No prior experience necessary
  • must be willing to work part-time hours
  • ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • reliable transportation to the Grand Rapids location
  • ability to maintain a drug-free work environment
  • comply with safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • willingness to learn and undergo training
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • strong attention to detail and customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverages orders efficiently following established service steps
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining food safety standards
  • assist guests periodically with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items and ingredients including specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with kitchen staff for order accuracy and special accommodations
  • process cash transactions and follow cash-handling procedures
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dining areas
  • address guest complaints or issues promptly and relay to supervisor
  • set up and clean dining room before and after service
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events
  • perform additional duties as assigned
