Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years old
- possess or able to obtain valid alcohol servers permit
- availability to work part-time seasonal shifts primarily from April to September
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- strong communication skills
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately

- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain patient and flexible
- strong knowledge of food and beverage menus and ingredients
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- experience in food service or hospitality is preferred
- understanding of safe food handling and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special request accommodation
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others
- remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods and maintain area according to sanitation standards
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with staff from other departments during special events and perform other duties as assigned
