Job Requirements
- Prior serving experience is required
- Ability to work full time or part time with variable schedules
- Must be able to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Capability to operate dining equipment
- Willingness to follow established steps of service protocols
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Job Qualifications
- Prior serving experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including days and hours that may vary
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Understanding of dietary restrictions and allergens is a plus
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to supervisor
- Set up and clean the dining room before and after service
- Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- Assist staff from other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
