Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior serving or customer service experience preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- open availability preferred including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- basic knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- capability to handle cash transactions accurately
- must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- must pass Florida Level 2 background screening if applicable
Job Qualifications
- Prior serving experience preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- basic math skills for cash handling
- flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- willingness to learn and take direction
- ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up with guests to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special accommodations
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- maintain cleanliness and neatness of dining areas meeting sanitation standards
- address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
- operate dining room equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- assist with duties during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
